We love flag football more than life itself. And that’s driving us to build the best youth sports organization in Marin County.

Coach Z, father of Marin Heat player Zak, is a USA Football-certified coach with a passion for helping kids excel in sports. He has led the Southern Marin 12U football team as head coach in 2023 and coached the Next Level Marin Flag Football team from 2018 to 2024, winning four championships. Off the field, Coach Z is the President of the ad agency Mekanism.

Coach CJ, father of Marin Heat players Ryker and Ronin, is a USA Football-certified coach with an impressive playing background. A former 1AA Football All-Conference, Academic All-American, and MCAL Defensive Player of the Year at Marin Catholic, Coach CJ brings his high-level experience to the field. He serves as an assistant coach for Southern Marin Football 11U and has led Next Level Marin 3rd and 5th grade teams to championships. And he is currently the Senior Vice President of NFL Football at Wasserman, representing over 100 NFL players, including stars like Maxx Crosby, Rashee Rice, Najee Harris, and Laiatu Latu.

Without Marta, Marin Heat would only be a logo on a page. She has brought her years of organization and leadership to the club and helped us expand our teams and leagues. You’ll see her at all events with a walkie talkie tell everyone where to go and what to do. Her son, Evan, is lethal with the ball in his hand and one of the original founding players of Marin Heat. Offspring #2 - Emery - arguably more lethal.

Coach Dan is the father of Marin Heat Super Star player Violet. He has been coaching for decades and recently coached the SRHS Girls Varsity Flag Team. When he’s not debating offensive schemes with Coach Z, he’s a Managing Partner at Mendocino Farms. This past year, he was inducted into the Marin Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame for his outstanding sports career at Marin Catholic. If your kid is a QB, you want this guy helping them, as he was Jared Goff’s HS QB coach.

Coach Joe, father of Marin Heat player Wyatt, is the defensive coordinator for Coach Z’s Next Level Marin Flag Football team, where his defense has helped secure four championships. A former All-league Varsity football player, he brings his on-field expertise to coaching. Off the field, he serves as the Head of Corporate Finance and Treasurer at Gap, Inc. which barely equips him to be CFO at Marin Heat.

Coach Graham, father of Marin Heat player Colin, is a USA Football- and NFHS-certified coach and Red Cross-certified in first aid/CPR/AED. He was assistant coach to Coaches Z and Joe with their 2024 Next Level Marin championship team and also serves as an assistant coach at Southern Marin Broncos. A former rugby player and tech entrepreneur, he’s always at the ready to teach Coach Z how to use computers.
